Marketing Automation SaaS + Services Line of Business Owner

Job description

If you would thrive running and scaling a line of business that makes it possible for your multi-year subscription customers to build and grow a tech-enabled business they love and can run with ease, you might be a great fit as our Marketing Automation and Practice Management Business Unit Manager (SaaS Stack Product Owner).

Using a collection of off-the-shelf technologies (e.g. inbound digital marketing automation, practice/business management, scheduling software, etc.) configured in a way that has continuously proven successful for our niche market customers (members/subscribers), you would provide them with all the tools they need to efficiently manage their sales, marketing, and service delivery. You would also manage the delivery of marketing assets created by internal and external (agency/vendor) teams for our members to use with that SaaS suite to grow their firms.

Leveraging your expertise in inbound digital marketing and business process automation, technology, operations, and efficiency, you would lead an established fantastic team that has technical expertise in system configuration and account management as well as existing SOPs and playbooks, manage and expand this $1M+/year BPO business unit’s P&L, and drive efficiency, customer success, and program enhancements through process and technology (especially as the technology landscape continues to evolve).

What we’ll expect from you and what you'll be doing:

  • Owning the P&L - Managing the budget for this $1M+ line of business with multi-year customer relationships (under the umbrella of our larger online education and business coaching programs which operate with 7-8 figures revenue).

  • Collaborating on the ongoing evolution of the product to increase revenue, retention, and/or customer satisfaction by developing product and/or workflow enhancements, and overseeing the implementation of any new systems, systems updates, etc.

  • Leading the team that uses existing SOPs to set up and support (customer service, technical troubleshooting, or more advanced configuration) members’ use of our high-volume, low-touch BPO system. This system is a proprietary stack of off-the-shelf marketing and business process automation SaaS technologies configured via existing playbooks in a way that has consistently proven to provide rinse & repeat value for our clients. As a servant leader, you will be reducing dependencies, removing blockers, and coordinating with other product teams.
  • Overseeing the Delivery of Marketing Assets created by our internal teams and agency partners, which your team will syndicate at scale for our members to use in growing their client base within the tech stack we set up and configured for them.

  • Serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Sales team, clearly communicating the value proposition, positioning, inclusions, technology stack, benefits, etc. to the sales and marketing teams, potential customers, etc., including providing selling points, sales sheets, sales pitch material, website content and video script direction, and joining Sales Representatives as the SME in meetings to support deal closing.

  • Leveraging your strong organizational skills to maintain all internal and external documentation.

  • Other duties as assigned

Job requirements

  • Understanding of product marketing (especially B2B subscription or productized services) as well as digital marketing and websites, and minimum five years experience with operational infrastructure around funnels, webinars, drip emails, sales scheduling, account management software

  • Tech-savvy with an understanding of and high technical aptitude to independently learn a wide variety of software (e.g. sales, digital marketing automation, legal practice management software like Lawmatics, etc.) and integrations quickly.

  • Strong team, B2B service delivery, project, account, sales support, and P&L management experience required, and familiarity with law practices, or similar practice types, is helpful.

  • Lifelong learner constantly seeking to grow both personally and professionally

  • Familiarity with law (or similar) practices) is helpful

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Bachelor’s degree with business emphasis preferred, but not required.

Base salary of $120K-$150K depending on skills, years of relevant experience, performance, certifications, etc. plus bonus based on growth, customer retention, and CSAT, as well as the generous benefits listed above.
